Location: The primary work location(s) will be in Austin, TX. No relocation is available for this position. Candidates must reside in the Austin, TX vacinity.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice requires the services of 1 Network Engineer 1, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Network Engineer 1, Networking/Telecommunications and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

This position(s) will be responsible for network infrastrucutre support including monitoring the network bandwidth, utilization, installation, configuration, repair and maintenance under moderate supervision.
The position(s) will be responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of TDJC's internal network, including hosted and cloud environments.
They will provide expert-level technical assistance to agency staff and outside partners with high-level system and networking requests.
They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing complex infrastructure in support of the agency's needs.
