Services are expected to start 06/01/2022 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2022. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended.

 

Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 3 QA Associate/Analyst 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of QA Associate/Analyst 2, Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing and the specifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

--

As part of HHSC IT Applications – Social Services Applications initiatives, the worker will perform the following activities to accomplish the following goals:

 

  • Performs software quality assurance, testing, and support for TIERS, YourTexasBenefits.com, YourTexasBenefits Mobile App, State Portal, Workflow Management, Eligibility Web Services, Enterprise Document Services, Enterprise Content Management, Document Center, Call Center Inquiry, and other Social Services applications.
  • Develop, enhance, maintain, and execute existing and new test plans and scenarios for performing software quality assurance of the various web-based J2EE/Portal applications within HHSC’s SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) platform using Agile methodologies.
  • As a member of the team, participate in requirements analysis, test design, test data preparation, and testing of various application components, as required.
  • Work with other teams as necessary to accomplish goals.
  • Create technical and design documentation, as required.
  • Employ contemporary testing methods to ensure applications function properly and without error.
  • Provide technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
  • Participate in program design, coding and test walk-through meetings to provide input regarding technical standards and customer requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Successful candidates will require: 

 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding and experience of fundamental programming and testing concepts in the context of Web based UI applications.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or management information systems is strongly preferred.

Skill in testing enterprise applications developed using Java/J2EE, HTML5, CSS3, JQuery, AngularJS, Spring, EJB, Java Server Pages, JSF/Struts, Hibernate, JPA, JSON, XML, implemented on WebSphere/Oracle/Windows/Linux platforms

Skill using Unified Functional Testing (UFT), LoadRunner, SoapUI, LoadUI, Selenium, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), SQL, XML, and/or other similar tools & technologies to perform functional & performance testing

Skill in running and creating interface files and executing functional & performance tests for batch processes and web services

Skill in using JIRA, Jama, Product Portfolio Management (PPM) and/or other similar tools
