Location:  The primary work location(s) will be Remote.

 

Duration:  Services are expected to start 04/01/2022 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2022. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended.

 

Texas Education Agency requires the services of 2 Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined below.

 

Responsibilities

--

The Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) supports and facilitates the certification of Texas educators. This position will work with the ECOS development manager to provide the following Software Development Services:

 

1) Design complex modules for ECOS and its Accountability System for Ed Prep Programs (ASEP) .Net subsystem

2) Development of software modifications and enhancements including automated unit test cases. 

3) Research existing infrastructure and recommend possible architecture improvements.

4) Develop action plan to migrate remaining outdated code from Classic ASP to .Net and .Net Core.

Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.  Candidates with prior experience working for a State of Texas agency are highly recommended to apply.
