Location:  The primary work location(s) will be Remote.

 

Duration:  Services are expected to start 04/01/2022 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2022. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended.

 

Texas Education Agency requires the services of 1 QA Engineer Automated 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of QA Engineer Automated 2, Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing and the specifications outlined below.

 

Responsibilities

_

The Software Quality Assurance Tester performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems.

This position will work with the Texas Student Data System (TSDS) development team to provide the following Software Testing Services:


1) Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
2) Perform functional, regression and automation testing, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
3) Perform advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
4) Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to help determine test cases and clearly communicate issues found

 

The Texas Student Data System (TSDS) modernizes and improves the quality of data collection, management, and reporting in Texas education.
