Location:  The primary work location(s) will be Austin, Texas 78711.  No relocation is availbale for this position.  Candidate must reside in the Austin, TX area.

 

Duration:  Services are expected to start 01/05/2022 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2022.  This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended.

 

Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts requires the services of 1 Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Developer/Programmer Analyst 3, Applications/Software Development and the specifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

_

The Candidate will participate in the CPA application development team, primarily creating and maintaining software build automation tools listed in the minimum requirements. The Candidate will perform routine programming tasks in an agile environment, including implementing solutions based on user stories and customer designs, and providing technical expertise to the team with design discussions and peer reviews. The Candidate will provide feedback and contribute expertise to improve applications and development processes.

 

The Candidate will perform the following:

  • proficient in .NET stack especially C#, React.js
  • develop and maintain Maven and ANT build scripts in a Jenkins continuous integration environment.
  • write high-quality, reusable code following industry best practices
  • work with customers to enable custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports
  • provide knowledge transfer on JIRA and Confluence usage, administration, operational use and maintenance of the systems
  • follow best practices for serverless architecture
  • participate in peer code reviews and in project meetings
  • write unit tests using JavaScript testing frameworks
  • review and validate proposed architectural solutions

 The Candidate must have strong experience working in a team environment.

 

Qualifications

Note:  Prior experience working with a State of Texas agency is desireable

 

  • 8 Yrs Required Experience with conceptual and practical usage of SDLC, ITIL, and Agile Frameworks
  • 5 Yrs Required Experience with Microsoft .NET stack with an emphasis on C#
  • 5 Yrs Required Experience with RHEL OpenShift, Docker and deploying to containerized environments
  • 5 Yrs Required Experience with the Atlassian software stack (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence)
  • 5 Yrs Required Experience with highly complex application security requirements
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience with React.js
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience with Apache Maven and ANT
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience with REST API development and integration
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience with MS SQL databases
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience administering Jenkins, implementing automated build pipelines
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience with Agile and Scrum
  • 3 Yrs Required Experience with writing unit tests and use of static code analysis tools such as SonarQube and Fortify
  • 2 Yrs Required UI/UX design experience
  • 2 Yrs Required Experience with Bootstrap framework
  • 2 Yrs Required Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
  • 2 Yrs Required Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
