Location:  The primary work location(s) will be in Austin TX, 78731.  No relocation is available for this position.  Candidates must reside in the Austin, TX area.


Duration:  Services are expected to start 12/01/2021 and are expected to complete by 11/30/2022. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended.


Texas Department of Transportation requires the services of one (1) Systems Analyst 2, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Wintel Engineer and the specifications outlined below.




The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1 System Analyst 2 hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualification of System Analyst 2 and the specifications outlined in this document.


The workers responsibilities and skills must include:

  • Implement and administer directory services, security policies, patching, standards and procedures in coordination with TxDOT Security and Information Security Service Component Provider
  • Administer Federation Services within the directory services environment (currently Active Directory Federation Services) other Federated Services, and similar applications
  • Interface with Service Provider support as needed, including opening tickets with TxDOT Vendors when support is
  • Participate in the annual review of machine plans and workload forecasts with
  • Advise (or manage) any upgrade or configuration change of an existing operating system
  • Advise on cloud strategies, new technologies, and
  • Test new versions of machines, operating systems, and software prior to recommending the implementation of these products for TxDOT
  • Work with and provide input on solutions from TxDOT Solution Architects
  • Provide Wintel support for TxDOT systems in datacenters and in the
  • Work with applications tower to implement any application changes and
  • Manage ticket queues as
  • Create/ Advise on
  • Participate on call rotation
  • Ability to work with Multiple vendors
  • Assist in audit processes





Note:  Prior experience working with a State of Texas agency is desireable


Note:  Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.


  • 6 Yrs Required:  Managing Microsoft AD / Azure AD
  • 6 Yrs Required:  Managing server environments
  • 6 Yrs REquired:  Responsible for overseeing AD Infrastructure
  • 8 Yrs Preferred:  Managing Microsoft AD / Azure AD
  • 8 Yrs Preferred:  Managing multiple vendors
  • 8 Yrs Preferred:  Familiarity with ServiceNow / Ticketing System
  • 8 Yrs Preferred:  Ability to follow complex workflows
