Overview

We are looking for experienced Tower Construction Managers to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • 8-10 years experience in the Wireless Telecommunications Tower industry with the capacity to understand and manage multiple projects, multiple customers and personal
  • 5+ years of Project Management and Operations Management experience of up to but not limited to multiple Construction Supervisors all managing up to several crews
  • Generate bid packages and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for internal and external customers
  • Directly advise and influence decisions of Program and Project Managers in all aspects of construction work
  • Travel to jobsites in and out of state as necessary for project completion, up to 90%
  • Perform site audits, including itemizing all components and subsystems at a given location, as well as generating accurate site sketches
  • Actively participate in and make recommendations in vendor selection process
  • Attend deployment and other customer meetings as subject matter expert
  • Make regular trips to sites during construction, including: bid walk, preconstruction walk, in-progress site visits, punch walks and construction closeout
  • Provide direction to general contractors when doing ground work
  • Understand prevailing rates for all construction work and ensure company is receiving competitive rates for quality work
  • Negotiate costs within scope of project, hold Vendor accountable to ensure budget is maintained; ensure Project Managers and Customers are aware of issues that impact project dates or cost
  • Problem-solve issues that may occur onsite and make recommendations based on priority and need to ensure the project and budget are maintained
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with construction standards, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are distributed in a timely manner that are in accordance with customer standards
  • Review closeout materials, ensuring completeness and quality, and monitor all change orders
  • Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy
  • Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative while at the site, ensuring compliance with company safety program and related workmanship practices
  • Develop new processes and procedures to streamline job site procedures and documentation
  • Work to reduce costs through good planning and timely execution of the work
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to project budgets
  • Responsible for accurate and timely field reporting and invoicing
  • Reinforce quality and safety standards, updates and ensuring those updates hit the field
  • Setting monthly goals and projections for each Construction Supervisor based on crew capability knowledge and project intimacy

Qualifications

Skills and Background

  • Experience in the local market, preferred
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cell site design, foundation design, grounding, fencing and tower erection
  • Strong communications skills with a polished ability to communicate both formally and informally with multiple, distinct audiences, including internal teams, senior management, customers, contractors, and external resources.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, as well as previous experience working with Vendor Telecomm database platforms
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and be insurable under the company insurance policy. Will start with mileage until company vehicle is provided
  • This is a full-time salary position. You must be able to work beyond normal working hours of Monday through Friday including weekends as necessary. This position does require travel. Local candidates preferred
  • Maintain proper use of company vehicles, credit cards, and other assigned assets Maintain CPR/First Aid AED, OSHA 10, RF Radiation Safety & Awareness, & Competent Climber certifications'
