Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board requires the services of 1 Front-End Web Developer/Web Designer 1, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Front-End Web Developer/Web Designer 1, Web Development and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

• Work in collaboration with lead frontend developer to achieve design styling for web applications (40%)
• Work closely with product, content, marketing and data research teams to determine technical requirements and effort needed for frontend development for a wide range of website and web application projects. (30%)
• Employ web design sensibility that leverages content management systems and utilizes common design patterns and best practices. (10%)
• Understand business objectives in order to build quality interfaces and integrations to meet the requirements. (10%)
• Continuously enhance technical skills related to frontend development as well as deployment and testing in the cloud (AWS/Azure). (5%)
• Evaluate emerging technologies and practices along with making recommendations that would contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of frontend development for Texas OnCourse. (5%)

Note:  Prior experience working with a State of Texas agency is desireable

• 1 Yrs Required:  Experience in web development or a related field.
• 1 Yrs Required:  Strong expertise in web architecture and design with modern Javascript frameworks and tools (Vue.js, ES6, node.js, React).
• 1 Yrs Required:  Experience with implementing and maintaining CMS applications (Umbraco preferred).
• 1 Yrs Required:  Experience with design and implementation of responsive web and mobile application interfaces.
• 1 Yrs Required:  Familiarity with application development and event-driven navigation utilizing JSON/XML.
• 1 Yrs Required:  Ability to test and debug web and mobile applications across multiple browser tools.
