Texas Department of Information Resources requires the services of 2 Help Desk 1, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Help Desk 1, Technical Services, Help Desk and Operations and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Department of Information Resources.

Responsibilities

_

This position is for someone with entry-level helpdesk knowledge and hardware and software support experience. Will work with senior IT staff to support approximately 200 users to resolve technical issues, support IT operational tasks, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

_

Note:  Prior experience working with a State of Texas agency is desireable

 

  • 2 Yrs Required: General Skills: Windows 10 Administration, Connecting to wireless and wired networks, Updating drivers, Installing software, Group Policy Knowledge, Active Directory Administration, Customer Service Skills (verbal and written)
  • 2 Yrs Required:  Knowledge of hardware components, Office knowledge, ability to manage support tickets
  • 2 Yrs Required: Experience: Password Reset/VPN, Hardware/Computer Moves, Reimage Laptops, SharePoint User Access Administration, Create guest accounts in Azure, O365 User Administration, Outlook Administration (profiles, settings, signatures, archives...)
  • 2 Yrs Required: Experience: Cell Phone Procurement, iOS/Android troubleshooting, Facilitate vendor warrant repairs/visits, Replace basic hardware (hard drive/memory), Printer management (paper, toner, service calls), AD user account management
  • 2 Yrs Required: Experience: Network port patching/activation, Inventory Management
