Must meet the general qualification of Data/Report Writer - Level 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for DPS, Finance.
The worker will support the project during all phases as well as liaise between all areas, stakeholders, and the Comptroller’s Office.
The worker will also provide support to DPS’ Director of CAPPS Financials.
The worker will provide coordination of efforts, including, but not limited to all phases of the project, assist with Fit Gap, UAT, and Training; as well as follow up support during post-implementation.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the DPS. DPS may include pre-selection requirements that potential
Vendors (and their Workers) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. DPS will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Worker(s).
DPS implemented PeopleSoft 9.2 Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Purchasing, Asset
Management, and Inventory modules on 9/1/18.
Business Object (BO) tool is a business intelligence tool that provides a web-based interface to PeopleSoft to create reports or queries to meet DPS reporting requirements.
As the Post-Go Live CAPPS Financials Production Report writer, the Worker must have a
strong background in Business Objects 3.1 or 4.0 (or higher) and have worked with BI,
PeopleSoft and Data Warehouse technology.
The Worker must have extensive experience in the following:
The Worker must be able to work with the Data Warehouse, PeopleSoft, and Agency teams to ensure reports comply with the standards and all data modeling artifacts are prepared accurately in a timely fashion. The Worker must also be quality conscious and be dedicated to delivering quality products on time and on budget.
Reporting Experience with Business Intelligence Report Writing best practices
Reporting Experience with Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement
Reporting Experience with the development of various reporting mechanisms
Reporting Experience with PeopleSoft
Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products
Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government)
Experience in process or systems analysis work on any one or combination of the following PeopleSoft modules: general ledger/commitment control, purchasing/e-procurement, accounts payable, inventory, asset management, grant accounting
PeopleSoft Financials modules implementation or post-go live experience with an emphasis on reporting activities
