The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of [1] Programmers/Developers, hereafter referred to as Worker, who meets the general qualifications of a Software Developer 2 Level and Core Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Worker will be responsible for coding and testing of Java applications using Spring and JSF frameworks, Hibernate, Java web services, Tomcat application server and Oracle database on a team of 2 to 4 members. Worker will assist in converting applications developed in frameworks like Seam and Struts to Spring. The worker will also assist the team on new project initiatives as well as maintenance of existing applications. Worker will work the under direction of project lead but may assist in architecting and designing, researching and prototyping, load testing, code quality checking, application security and other technical needs as required. This contract may be extended based on funding availability and needs.
